Geography and History
As early as the age of three, our teachers will introduce geography concepts through the use of globes, maps, puzzles and pictures. They will work with specially designed maps and begin to learn the names of the world's continents and countries.
They will later study the world's cultures in greater depth. They learn to treasure the richness of their own cultural heritage and those of their friends. Children learn about people and cultures in other countries with an attitude of respect and admiration. Through familiarity, children come to feel connected to the global human family. Lessons and experiences with nature inspire a reverence for all life.
- We teach the children about our world by using some of the following materials:
- Water and sand globes
- Parts of the world globes
- Land and water forms
